Dive into Lake Life at Sylvan Lake

Sylvan Lake’s public beach is hard to miss, stretching down Lakeshore Drive from 52 Street to 34 Street. On the west half of the beach, you will find paved trails, sidewalks, and the iconic boardwalk. With sandy areas and shallow waters for wading, it's perfect for families. Water depth at the public beach is about 2-3 feet in depth, increasing to about 8 feet near the swim line.

Water levels for this natural water body fluctuate year to year. Lifeguards are not on duty so swim and splash at your own risk.

Families and beginners will enjoy knee-boarding and tubing while more advanced watersport enthusiast can jump into waterskiing, wakeboarding, and even wake surfing. Or zoom across the lake via jet-ski.

The inland version of regular surfing, wake surfing is more popular than ever. Boats weighed down with onboard ballast system produce surfable waves behind the boat. Surfing isn’t just for coastal beaches - you can surf at the lake too!

If you are looking for a calmer experience, pontoon boats, sail boats, and houseboats can be seen slipping through the waterways. Canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards are great ways to see the shoreline and 

Find your perfect on-water ride via The Launch and Sun Sport Recreation. Both companies rent motorboats and pontoon boats. They also offer paddle rentals such as paddleboards, paddleboats, and kayaks. If you need tubes, wakeboards, or water-skis, stop by the Launch to get hooked up.
