From early morning bike rides to evenings around the fire roasting marshmallows, camping here puts families in the perfect place to enjoy everything Sylvan Lake has to offer!
Day 1: Stay, Play, and Shop
Set Up Camp
Arrive in Sylvan Lake and settle into your campsite with your trailer or tent. Take some time to get familiar with the campground amenities like the bathroom and shower houses before heading out to explore.
Just steps away from the campground, the Co-operators Spray Park & Play Zone is the perfect first stop for kids to burn off some energy after the drive. The towering playground structure and splash park make it easy to cool off and kick off the weekend.
Stock up at the Farmer’s Market
On Friday afternoons, make your way downtown to the Sylvan Lake Farmers Market on Lakeshore Drive from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
This lively lakefront market is the perfect place to stock up on goodies for the weekend. Pick up farm fresh eggs, local meats, fresh baked bread, snacks, and sweet treats to bring back to your campsite. Grab dinner from one of the food trucks and enjoy wandering the lakefront while soaking in the summer atmosphere.
Sweet Treats & Campfire Heat
While you’re downtown, stop by The Big Moo Ice Cream Parlor, Sylvan Lake’s most famous ice cream shop with endless flavours to choose from.
Head back to camp for the evening and settle in around the firepit. Roast marshmallows, tell stories, and enjoy the simple joys of camping.
For the adults, pick up a few brews from Snake Lake Brewing Co. or 2nd Wind Brewery & Eatery earlier in the evening for a late-night toast once the kids are tucked in.
Day 2: Lake By Day & Ball Field By Night
Slow Mornings for Busy Days
Wake up to the sounds of the campground and start the day with breakfast at your campsite. Pancakes, eggs, and coffee always taste better when you’re camping.
Take a relaxed morning bike ride or walk along Sylvan Lake’s trail system on your way to Sylvan’s most popular attraction – the lake!
Lake Day Fun for Everyone
Spend the afternoon swimming, paddleboarding, building sandcastles, or simply relaxing on the sand while the kids play.
Looking for gear? Sun Sport Recreation offers paddleboard and kayak rentals right near the waterfront.
For families looking for something extra exciting, try Sylvan Lake Aqua Splash, Alberta’s first open-water inflatable water park offering hours of fun and challenges for kids and adults alike.

Head to Spill The Beans for lunch, where you’ll find delicious homemade sandwiches, salads, snacks, and kid-friendly options.
Take Me Out to the Ball Game
After a full afternoon at the beach, clean up and take a short walk from your site to Gulls Stadium for a Sylvan Lake Gulls baseball game.
Grab a classic ballpark dinner like poutine or hotdogs, cheer on the home team, and enjoy a summer evening under the lights. This is one of Sylvan Lake’s favourite family traditions with a play zone for kids, and on-field fun all evening long!
After the game, return to your campsite for another cozy night around the fire.
Day 3: One Last Adventure
A Local’s Breakfast
Head to Lodge 43 for a delicious and hearty breakfast! A local favourite filled with small-town charm to fuel your fun-filled day exploring off the lakefront.
