About Us – Cobb’s Clothing: A Legacy of Style and Elegance

Welcome to Cobb’s Clothing, a cherished destination for fashion enthusiasts located in the picturesque town of Sylvan Lake, Alberta. As Sylvan Lake’s oldest standing boutique, our history dates back nearly a century.

A Legacy of Elegance:

In 1928, Mr. and Mrs. Cobbs purchased “The Community Store” in Sylvan Lake, a thriving mercantile that sold everything from horse feed and tools to material, food, and clothing. In 1942, the store was sold to H.N. Fisher, remaining in the Fisher family for three generations. During this time, the store evolved, splitting into a grocery store and later adding a dedicated clothing store. Throughout its history, one thing remained constant—clothing was always an integral part of the business.

In 2021, Jennifer and Janice purchased the last remaining piece of the store—the women’s clothing boutique—in order to preserve its long-standing brand and legacy within the community. Today, we are incredibly proud to continue this tradition, bringing timeless style to the women of Sylvan Lake and beyond.
