Opening & Welcome

Join Dignitaries, Indigenous Elders, and Knowledge Keepers as they welcome you to Sylvan Lake's National Indigenous People's Day celebrations!
Stage Entertainment
12:00pm - 5:00pm | Centennial Park
Take in performances from Indigenous & Metis performers including, song, dance, drumming, and storytelling.
12:30pm - 4:30pm | Centennial Park
Play traditional Indigenous games and take part in crafts for souvenirs to bring home!
Snake Lake Scramble

This Riel-Style relay race kicks off in Centennial Park and includes paddling, biking, running, and fire starting! Sign up a team of 6 if you think you have what it takes to compete!

Medicine Walk
6:45pm - 8:00pm | Lakefront
Join Indigenous Knowledge Keeper, Clare Butterfly, on a walk along the lakefront to discuss plants and their medicinal uses.
