HOLI CELEBRATIONS

Learn about this Hindu holiday celebrating the end of winter!

What is Holi?

Holi is a Hindu Festival celebrating the arrival of spring, new beginnings, and the joy of being together! Often called the Festival of Colours, Holi brings people together through music, food, and vibrant colour powder throwing!

What does Holi Represent?

Holi is rooted in tradition and symbolism, celebrating the triumph of good over evil, renewal, forgiveness, and fresh starts. At its heart, Holi is about connection, positivity, and share celebration!

Why Do the Colours Matter?

During Holi, people throw coloured powders (called gulal) to express happiness and joy, the energy of spring, and letting go of the past. Traditionally made from natural ingredients, the colours reflect life, love, and vibrancy!

What to Expect at a Holi Celebration

Holi celebrations are lively, playful and inclusive! Get ready for fun outdoors with music and dancing in a welcoming atmosphere for all ages!

Pro tip: Wear clothes you don't mind getting colourful and celebrate respectfully. Participation is always meant to be joyful and consensual.
